Harmony Corner Music specializes in group and individual piano and voice instruction. From the tiniest baby to the greatest grandparent, music is the common language that brings people together across generations, cultures and throughout history. Students at Harmony Corner Music make up a community of musicians and music-lovers of all ages. Throughout their course of study students are enriched by the creative and interpretive art of music-making as well as the many mechanical and intellectual benefits of learning an instrument.
Cynthia Hector
With experience teaching and developing music programs for over 20 years, director Cynthia Hector fosters self-expression and personal connection to music, encouraging students to develop their own, unique musical style through exposure to a broad range of genres. Students develop a solid foundation of technique, music theory and music history in their studies. To meet the individual needs of each musician, materials and curriculum are chosen and developed based on students’ ability and interest.
Miss Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in music, specializing in voice, from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She continues to study current trends in music pedagogy and develop progressive curriculum accordingly. She is the founder of VoiceLab, MusicalME and Harmony Corner Music.
